Our Programmes
Delivering comprehensive healthcare solutions to underserved communities across Nigeria

Health Services Programme
At Humanity Family Health Foundation (HFHF), our health services programme lies at the heart of our mission to promote accessible, affordable and equitable health care for all, especially underserved populations.
We believe that good health is a fundamental human right. Through this programme, we provide a wide range of preventive, promotive and curative health services that aim to reduce the burden of disease and improve the overall well-being of individuals and families across communities.
Our approach to improving rural health care includes:
Community Medical Outreach
Nigeria's rural communities face a serious health crisis. According to the World Bank (2024), more than 47% of Nigerians live in rural areas and 60% of rural Nigerians lack access to basic health care (UNICEF Nigeria 2023).
In response, HFHF is actively working to improve healthcare access, delivery and outcomes in rural communities by providing:
- Free medical consultations
- Treatments and laboratory tests
- Minor procedures in hard-to-reach areas
Maternal and Child Health Care
The Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS 2018) shows that maternal mortality in rural Nigeria exceeds 800 deaths per 100,000 live births compared to the national average of 556. Under-5 mortality rate in rural areas is 132 per 1,000 live births (NDHS 2010).
HFHF is committed to reducing maternal and child mortality by:
- Providing antenatal care and safe delivery kits
- Supporting postnatal follow-up and child immunization
- Partnering with local health centers to improve birth outcomes
Health Education and Disease Prevention
Recognizing that up to 70% of illnesses in Nigeria are preventable (Federal Ministry of Health), HFHF conducts:
- Health talks on hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention
- Awareness campaigns on malaria, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and other endemic diseases
- Community-based health education programs
